  1. Leg wraps, usually on the forelegs (front legs).  The wraps protect the legs from the hind hooves.  When a horse is jumping or running, many times their hind hooves clip the front legs.  Bell boots are also often used to protect the front hooves from being clipped by the hind hooves.

    Barrel racers use leg wraps to protect their horses' legs as well.


  2. your question isnt very specific, and i havent seen them jump in a while but i'm assuming you're talking about their boots. they wear leg protection (ex. splint boots) or sometimes even bell boots, which are on the hooves themselves. it's all about safety

  4. its a lubricant so if the horses legs hit the jumps since there fixed they don't injure themselves
