  1. well im not vegan, yet, but when i went vegetarian the only people in my family who really were supportive were my mom and my aunt. i would go to my cousin's house and he would be like "i was going bbq but SOMEONES a vegetarian". its been a year and my dad still thinks its odd and that we're MEANT to eat meat.

my friends and their families supported me 100% though. when i'd go to their house they already had vegetarian food made for me even if they didnt know i was staying for dinner or not yet :)

  2. Yeah, I got a lot of weird looks and a lot of

"So what do you eat, like twigs and berries?"

So yeah, it really sucks, and sadly enough you're likely to continue getting it.  Just blow it off and tell yourself that they are ignorant and you are healthy with a clear conscious.  Stay strong, friend.

  3. They said, "Oh no! Oh no! OMG! OMG! Say it's not true! Oh, the humanity!!.....uummmmm, what's a vegan?".

    Actually, I'm not a vegan...LOL

  4. I live in Italy, where I was at a wedding, there they idea was to have fish (fish everything) as it is regarded as elegant food :(

I had risotto with peach instead, most people find it strange but no negativity, most people are curious.
