  1. Something else you should consider as a common issue behind the revolutions in this period, is the fact that the pro-revolution propaganda appealed to the common people.

Once the revolution in France succeeded and the monarchy was ended (bloodily), pro-French artists, writers etc. spread the revolution across Europe using art, texts etc.. The idea's behind the revolution (liberty equality, brotherhood) appealed greatly to the common people, so the support for a revolution increased greatly because of this.

  2. Monarchies were rebelled against in several nations during this period, most notably the monarchy in France.

Industrialization played an even bigger role in the revolutions, rebellions and protests, however. In England, the industrial revolution led to more efficient factories, which in turn led to many workers suddenly being out of work. The same was true in other parts of Europe as well.

The last major common issue behind many of the revolutions, etc. of that period would be taxation. The long periods of war which plagued the early to mid 1700s cost many nations a lot of money, which they sought to replace by taxing their citizenry. As we all know, few people like to pay taxes, and peasants who have very little to begin with are often willing to die rather than pay taxes they believe are unfair.
