  1. Former champions Roger Federer and Kim Clijsters lead their respective fields in the current US Open tennis odds according to the British betting bookmaker Ladbrokes.com.

The 5-time champion Federer, who lost in the final last year to Juan Martin Del Potro, is once again the men’s favorite at 9/4. World No. 1 Rafael Nadal is next at 11/4. Nadal has never reached the US Open finals.

At No. 3 in the US Open odds is 2008 finalist Andy Murray at 3/1. Novak Djokovic is the fourth choice at 12/1 while former champion Andy Roddick, Robin Soderling and Tomas Berdych are all tied at 16/1.

Defending champion Clijsters is on top for the women at 10/3. The 2006 winner, Maria Sharapova, is the second pick at 7/2. Top seed and 2009 finalist Caroline Wozniacki and Victoria Azarenka are tied for third at 7/1.

Two-time champion Venus Williams is next at 12/1 followed by 2004 winner Svetlana Kuznetsova (14/1) and then a tie between Elena Dementieva and Vera Zvonareva at 20/1
