  1. It left a terrible stain that was hard to get out? Or it decimated most of the work force thus slowing production.


  2. It was actually very positive to society in the long run. It made social change and mobility easier, so that people who survived nearly always improved their social position.

    With a smaller workforce, poor people had more bargaining power, which led to higher wages.

    We wouldn't have the Renaissance without the Black Death.
