  1. It was when the allies started their campaign to retake France from n**i Germany. It basically created a foot hold for the Allied invasion so they could bring their armor into the mainland.


  2. D-day was 2 main things

    1st was to set up in france and get ready to re-take europe, this also meant the germans had to open up a new front so more soldiers were being used, making it easier for the russians

    2nd was to give the UK more security, because france is literally on our doorstep
