What were the handicaps of PGA golfers when they were 13?

I am a 13 year old and i am off 19 i just wanted to compare that with other professionals when they were my age

eg. sergio garcia , tiger , ernie els, phil mickelson, luke donald, ian polter etc..

Remember most of them golfers started at the age of 2-4years old.

I started when I was 13, so in theory I have till im 23 to get to a point where I and near scratch. At the moment I am off 16 and I will be 19years old next month.

I just want to get into single figures.

The same will apply to you. So if you are dreaming about making money from the game, you never know.

Don't know where one can get reliable statistics for professional golfers when they were 13. The majority showed talent by winning junior and amateur tournaments in their area and gained notoriety which brought them to higher level competition. Many Europeans  went directly to the pros and several came to the US to compete at the college level. Most fo the US players came up through the college route.

most were around a 2 or 3 handicap, but you have late bloomers like Zach Johnson, who was probably like a 12. Good Luck and when I was 13 I was a 16 or 17 handicap.

I know Justin Rose was off scratch when he was 12 and off +3 when he was 14!

He was a freak when he was a junior.

i'm 17 and my handicap is 5 and I didn't sthart till I was 14.
