What were the most important new ideas you encountered and how did they change your understanding of the paralegal profession?

In my years of playing guitar, I have gradually improved the quality of my instrument. I gave away each of my old guitars with the single stipulation that it be passed on.

The last one I gave away was to a girl whose parents were alcoholics and drug addicts. She played it through High School and on to College where I lost track of her. Years later I ran in to her. She was working as a paralegal in San Antonio, Texas, working with gangs. She told me that she passed on my old guitar to a kid who was trying to break free from the gangs. That old guitar formed the base of a Christian music band.

And I thought paralegals only pushed papers...
