1. Princess Victoria of Great Britain was born Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise "Vicky" (21 November 1840 – 5 August 1901). She was created Princess Royal of the United Kingdom in 1841. She became German Empress and Queen of Prussia by marriage to German Emperor Frederick III. After her husband's death, she became widely known as Empress Frederick (or, in German: "Kaiserin Friedrich").

Edward and Alexandra wed at St. George's Chapel, Windsor on 10 March 1863. He is the great-grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II.

4. Prince Alfred was born Alfred Ernest Albert “Affie” (6 August 1844 – 30 July 1900). The third Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha reigning between 1893 and 1900. He was created Duke of Edinburgh, Earl of Kent and Earl of Ulster in the peerage of the United Kingdom on 24 May 1866. He succeeded his paternal uncle Ernst as the reigning Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in the German Empire on 23 August 1893. On 23 January 1874, the Duke of Edinburgh married Her Imperial Highness The Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia, the second (and only surviving) daughter of Tsar Alexander II of Russia.

5. The Princess Helena of Great Britain was born Helena Augusta Victoria "Lenchen" (25 May 1846 - 9 June 1923). She later married into the Ducal House of Augustenborg and was styled Princess Christian of Schleswig-Holstein.

6. The Princess Louise of Great Britain was born Louise Caroline Alberta (18 March 1848 - 3 December 1939). Princess Louise married the Marquess of Lorne on 21 March 1871 in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle and became Duchess of Argyll. She served as Canadian Viceregal Consort, when her husband, the Marquess of Lorne, was the Governor General of Canada.

7. The Prince Arthur was born Arthur William Patrick Albert (1 May 1850 – 16 January 1942). Arthur served as the Governor General of Canada from 1911 to 1916. He was created Duke of Connaught and Strathearn and Earl of Sussex in 1874. On 13 March 1879, Arthur married Princess Luise Margarete of Prussia, the daughter of Prince Friedrich of Prussia and a grand-niece of the German Emperor Wilhelm I.

8. The Prince Leopold was born Leopold George Duncan Albert (7 April 1853 – 28 March 1884). Leopold was later created the Duke of Albany, Earl of Clarence and Baron Arklow. He was diagnosed with haemophilia as a baby, which later led to his death as an adult. On 27 April 1882, Leopold and Princess Helene Frederica married.

9. The Princess Beatrice of Great Britain was born Beatrice Mary Victoria Feodore (14 April 1857 – 26 October 1944). She was famous for editing the journals and diaries of Queen Victoria after her death. From her marriage in 1885 until 1917 she was known as Princess Henry of Battenberg.
