Cary C--will you email me to let me know if that is an actual answer or just a guess. I remember ( I was 14 at the time) that no one really expected Ali to win and the shock/delight it was. When you see the nice, kind, god-fearing, man that Foreman has become it is difficult to believe that he was almost regarded as evil at the time.

Anyone know the odds? That's the question!

  1. George Foreman was able to beat the h**l out of Joe Frazier while Muhammad Ali got beaten up by Frazier..

  2. Ali wasn't favored to win.  Foreman was favored  7 -1.

I know of only one guy who gave Ali a chance in that fight. Kenny Norton said Ali would beat Foreman. Howard Cosell said Ali was too old and that Foreman would win. Joe Louis said Foreman would KO Ali in 7 rounds. Jerry Quarry said Foreman would KO Ali in 4 rounds. Norton said Ali would win easily and he did.

  3. Ali was a big underdog in that fight not sure the odds.

  4. 2-1
