  1. Dwarves.

  2. get the DVD it clearly describes them as being only oompa loompas nothing else

so 2 answer your question neither.

  3. they could be mights.

  4. In the one with Johnny Depp they're all the same actor, Deep Roy, a dwarf who was made to look even smaller via. special effects. In the one with Gene Wilder they're also short people.

  5. In both the old and new they are dwarves. In the new one it is just one copied digitaly by computer. The older one there are a couple of them because some of them look different, unless they did that by computer also, but i don't think they had the digitally advance then as they do now.

  6. They're neither, they're natives from an island... or did you mean like the actor? Coz the actor is a normal sized man (just one guy plays all of them) but they use film techniques to make him look small.

  7. Dwarfs ( little people)  you can tell by their short statures: long torsoes, disproportionally short limbs, and the shape of their hands which have very short fingers, and wide shoulders.
