  1. Looking at the poster it seems obvious. They wanted the same rights as a man, who, at the time could do as he wanted. It wasn't especially the vote that they were after, but the right to choose, the same as men had the legal right to do.

    Getting the vote was only the beginning of the women's movement. albeit a major land mark, but it took another 50 years before women had anywhere near equal status.

    A lot of women will still dispute the job is over, and I agree. It will take another generation, when all the old farts, of which I am one, have died off and no one remembers how things were
