What were the supposedly prehistoric fish in a box you could buy at walmart called?

i had these a while back and was wondering what they were called because i was wanting some more but i cant find them at wal mart anymore. so could anyone help me??

  1. there triops, and unlike the person above me said the package says they grow up to 2 inches, wich a few of mine did before they died, but they only live about 2 months

    if you want more all you have to do is let the triops tank dry out and then refill it with distilled water and if your triops were over a month then they probably laid eggs that would hatch

  3. probably triops. you have to hatch the eggs though, it's not living yet. I didn't think you could get those at walmart-then again my walmart doesn't have a great selection in the first place.

  6. They are called triops, except they are not fish. You put their eggs in water, and they hatch. They are kind of like miniature horseshoe crabs. Here is some pics:

    Keep in mind that they say that they can grow to be like 4 inches or something but usually they only end up being an inch before dying.

    Trust me, they're not worth your money. Mine died within a week after hatching.
