  1. This to me is obviously a colour prejudiced question, other wise it would be far more to the point with regards to time and place, it's far to flimsy for any proper answer.

  2. Without specifying a time period, it is impossible to say.

During Roman times, they did not have a technological advantage.  In fact, many African nations (in Nigeria, Egypt, Libya, Ethiopia) were as advanced, or more advanced than the majority of Europe at the time.

In the 17th century, at the height of the slave trade, Europeans had more advanced ship building, more advanced steelwork, more advanced gunpowder weaponry, and (probably most importantly) printing presses and an alphabet that worked well with the press to improve communications.

  3. Agricultural revolution and the development of communications.

  4. When??  What time period are we talking about?  This is too broad. :D

  5. A good book that discussed this was Pulitzer Prize winning "Guns Germs, and Steel.  Europeans had advantages in weapons, agriculture, industrial, and others.  If I were to give two, I would say swords and tractors.

  6. weapons and the 'will' to use them at any given instance... how unreasonable!

  7. Hmm... doesn't seem Europeans had any technological advancements over Africans during the old world.

Most of the advances came about during the industrial era, but a few can also be found in the early parts of the new world. One of those new world technologies notably, the gun, and other gunpowder related technology, then followed the industrial era, where steam powered technology such as used in the train were vital for expansion.

  8. well, it depends on what time you are talking about, but i understand that you really want this question answered, so i'll do my best to help. One, you would say was that africans were used as slaves. Europeans obviously were not. Africans couldn't own land, vote, & basically had very little rights compared to the europeans. Does that Help? =)
