  1. A woman can't be a viking, the word it self means war-man or battle-man. Women didn't follow the vikings that went out to rob and kill either since it was a mans job. So, there is no such thing as a female viking pirate.

    But, the women of the vikings did travel and settle other parts of Europe. Most vikings made a living from trade rather than robbing and stealing and it was often women that controlled the market. If you look at the pattern of how they settled you'll see that the places most commonly settled was closer to home. Places where it was thought safer to bring the women.
