  1. I was constantly teased that I was a boy. Sure, I was a tomboy, wore shorts, but my Mother in her paranoia over paedophiles, took my sister and I to a barber and had our hair cut and shaved up the back like little boys. Father Christmas had a go at me as a result. I think prevention and measures taken at home would have sufficed. To this very day I will never cut my hair short, even when someday, it turns grey. The wounds never healed. So I may have escaped a paedophile in the eyes of my Mother, but gained a lifetime trauma.

Lark: Yeah as you can see I got over the shock. The background is a volcano and that is exactly where I feel I am. 32° and humid as h**l

  2. was called Bart Simpson for a while. My hair was cut short and spikey and the kids had a field day

  3. I was small-built and thin, which used to be a criminal act in conservative, Afrikaans schools in the Free State. However, living in civilization has made me a lot less conscious about it.

  4. Yeah because of my fathers hairstyle he cut it so high up at the back the children call it the p**s pot stile with two dents around the ears till now I don't like short hair

It wasn't mine he cut it

  5. Because of my glasses.  Those days very few children had glasses, so I was a target to be called Brilletjies, Four-eyes, Goggles etc.

And as the youngest in the family, i was always on the losing end against my older siblings.

It is so nice to see that my troll is so busy again today. Keep that TD button warm, my dubiousfriend

  6. I had a few freckle when I was younger (still do) and I got teased at school a little. I hated them and used to get a little upset but know I love them. I have been complicated (nicely) on them alot since then and learnt to love them.

I am however very self-conscious about my weight which I never used to be. It must come with age... lol

  7. I was teased for being an 'only child' so therefore the other kid's just assumed I was a 'spoilt' brat!!!  I wasn't though, and being an only child is a very lonely existence, then and now!!

  8. I was called Oros, because of my surname and because I was a little overweight. I suppose I looked a little like the Oros man. I am short and therefore look fatter than what I really am. I was in boarding school for most of my school career. Whenever we got pudding with our meals, the boys would tell me that I shouldn't eat pudding and that I should give mine to them. It got so bad that I refused to eat infront of the other kids. I am still self-conscious about my body and eating in front of strangers.

Add: Res, glad to see your hair has got some colour again.
