  1. My sister's wedding on Saturday got kicked off with Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl and I like it".

It was a hit!  All the women were on the dance floor, including my sisters and her new wife!

  2. Clearance Carter- Stroke It...lol. I thinks its great fun to dance to at receptions.  It is a bit PG13 though

  3. I can't remember we were all a lil toasty. But i had alot of fast dance music. We had an open bar at our wedding and i think it even helped my 67 year old grandmother break it down... lol

  4. Tons of traditional music, ethnic stuff really got the crowd going - lots of polkas, then stuff like the schottische, bunny hop, butterfly - as well as classic rock, obviously and lovely waltzes of all types.

Our dance floor was always full!

This is an example of a kolomayka - where everyone gathers in a circle, then individuals/groups 'show off' their Ukrainian dance moves!

  8. The twist, the macarana, the electric slide, Cotton eye joe, and some country songs. Those are the best dancing songs... i think so...

  9. Surprisingly, Footloose was a big hit at my wedding. Everyone got up for that one, and made a big circle on the dance floor, and people got in the middle and did a little showing off. I get a big smile on my face every time I happen to hear that song because of it!

  10. The Cha Cha slide has got to be the best "group dance" song because it's really not that cheesy and the song basically tells you what to do at what time so you don't need to know it to dance to it

Other ones: Electric slide, macarena, YMCA,  and the chicken dance

Oh, and at one wedding I was at they played "Thriller" and a lot of people had fun trying to do the moves

  11. Honestly, I can't dance.  So, I actually like corny dances like the YMCA, electric slide or the Cha Cha Slide.   It makes me feel like I can dance.

So, I think any of those are fine.  But, just leave out the Macarana.  That's about the only one I can't stand.

  13. Cant touch this.

    lol

  14. Well at my sister's wedding we didn't want the cheesy YMCA, We are Family, or the Chicken Dance AT ALL.

But we loved Footloose, Twist and Shout, Let's Do the Time Warp Again, and anything from musicals since we're such a stage family.
