I wasn't here forever, you know. Well, anyways, I always hear the Top Contributors saying how R&P isn't the same. Why is that? And also, why isn't the Top Contributor "Rckets" here?

  1. It was a place where people shared their opinions and information about bands and music they enjoyed, with a rare form thumbs downs, except when it came to MCR and the like.

  2. There's always going to be an onslaught of fans of crappy bands... We just can't escape it..

    =*(

  3. Speaking as someone who has been continuously in R&P since May of 2007....I can tell You that this place was a veritable fun-loving Paradise and Garden of Eden from about last September through February . Until of course, The Jonas Wars of 2008 ignited, and the deluge of Heavy Metal Elitists invaded from the desolate Northern Wastes intent on plunder, rapine, and oodles of snobbery. Since then it's not been quite such an overdose of fun.

I can't speak for Rckets although he is a good friend, and I won't drop names, but a lot of former R&Pers were driven away by just what I mentioned.

And after awhile Anyone gets burnout...if You can't tell by My questions today just how truly tired I am of seeing the same shite over and over and over again, world without end, amen.......

    *Edit*

I was born crazy and haven't gotten any better at all since.

    *Edit 2*

But We had fun with the Gerard Army. This JoBro business is outta hand.

    *Edit 3*

Hey! I take offense to that! I'm a Red-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-dneck Stut-ut-ut-ut-ut-ut *smacks temple utterer!

  4. It was always little fan girls.

Now is the Jonas Brothers, but before it was Tokio Hotel and My Chemical Romance and whoever else is popular. That Pete Wentz boy, whoever he is, too.

The only difference is these fan girls are 12, the old fan girls were 15.

  5. It used to be a h**l of a lot more fun. There were those goddamn FOB and MCR fans, but there were also a lot of people who represented several more genres of music (including industrial which is hardly mentioned anymore). Rckets, along with several others (including myself) got burned out on all of the trolling and Y! administrative bull$hit(uncalled for violations/deletions/suspensions).

  6. It was fun!

But it's not all the fault of Jonas Brothers fans.

  7. when i first came into R&P there were about half a billion questions relating to my chemical romance and fall out boy.. ugh..

  8. Less geeky, someone had to come along and lend legitimacy to MCR fandom

  9. you think this is bad?? go to 'celebrities'. its REALLY bad there...

  10. it was a good place to hang and answer questions about things OTHER then the Jonas Brothers.

i mean, the MCR fans are just as much here as the... others (lol)... but we talk about more then how much we love our band. the Jonas fans are just annoying. they always say, "why dont people like them? they are so cool!"

i dont like them cause people like you whine about them... and i just dont like the music, thats it.

if the Jonas fans didnt spend all their time posting questions about how much they love Nick, or Joe, or how much the Jonas Brothers are amazing... it would be a pretty decent place.

    =)

  11. well I been around for about 5  months now  and I can tell you that R&P had its moments of good times an bad times. ever since the creation of the "Anti-Jonas" movement and the ridiculous trolls R&P has become less exciting. but the regulars are pretty much the main reason why I come back here

  12. It was filled with FOB & MCR fans

  13. Just under a year ago it was full of MCR fans.

When I started {just over a year ago}, it seemed rather more... 'grown-up'. I would normally say 'adult' {meaning sensible, but fun}, as 'grown-ups' tend to be dull!
