im moving to mexico, like officially... and i want to know if there is anything importnt that i should bring from the US to MX... i am living in Acapulco so help!

  1. You know you'll need your passport, of course, but also bring important papers like your birth certificate, Social Security card, driver's license, high school diploma or college degree, and get your medical and dental records, including any x-ray or MRI films, too.

    Also any financial papers, like bearer bonds and stock certificates, unless you have a safe place to store them in the US.

    If there are any books or DVDs - or just anything - that you own, it's better to bring it than to buy it all over again. Big stuff like furniture and appliances can be sold off and bought again there, unless they're keepsakes.

    But, hey, people live their whole lives in Mexico - anything you need there, you can probably get. If you must have something from the US, you can probably buy it online or through the mail and have it shipped.
