Nova Scotia :
pros: more defense, more training and faculties, Canada would have more resources with NS as a whole, Stronger economically & politically, strongest government.
cons: Lost ALOT of money, didnt get much say because of representation by population, loss of political power, could already trade across seas and didnt reall need the railway, loss of british soldiers, didnt line all the colonies.
New Brunswick:
pros: railway would be paid off, protect NB against Fenian attack, opened up new lands and forestry, provides new jobs and settlement.
cons: worked efficiantly separate, no progress without confed, no longer aloud to enter the U.S tax-free, cost of goods are higher in Canada.
wow jackass's much, pros: were that the colonies would be stronger and more independent. The colonies would have strong central government to control the defense, taxation, postage, currency etc, ect, ect. also the Britain abandoned the mercantilism so the colonies would have to unite in order to survive because Britain no longer provided the colonies with the guarantee on market and it got its material from other countries for a lower price. This made the colonies go in depression because people had no jobs and they needed someone to buy their goods and products.
Pros: Stronger defence against the U.S who planned to take over the colonies one by one. Therefore unifying provided BNA with a more effective defence. Another pro includes expansion of country, better reputation. Brought in immagrants which means more people working and advancement in infraustructure. Cons: there are none
i dunno
pros: Brought all the colonies together which ofcourse made it stronger. Also, they needed someone to pay of their debt of about a million plus.It also showed the Americans that we would grow in population and power.
cons: I dont know LOL
