What (who) are some philosophers affiliated with the Big Bang?

Question

I need philosophers who aggree with the Big Bang and philosophers who disagree with the Big Bang. Any answers with the philosopher's name will be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I don't need sources if you can't be bothered, I can research their names myself. Thanks in advance.

I suppose you could use the Pope seeing as he now agree's that the Big Bang did infact create the Universe. The only argument he has is to say "where did the atoms that created the Big Bang come from?"

Big Bang and other cosmology are not directly philosophical issues but rather are scientific ones, but perhaps I can be of some help here.  The only things I can think of to help you would be 1) for you to look up philosophers of science and philosophers of religion who have interest in the metaphysical implications of the Big Bang.  2) There are also theology experts who do in fact hold discourse in cosmology, at the fringe philosophical level insofar as they attempt to push forward the epistemological bridge between science and religion dialogue.  One I know of is Ted Peters at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Berkeley, CA.  You can find his and others' papers in the book Physics, Philosophy and Theology by Russell, Stoeger and Coyne.  It is an excellent collection of papers that came from a meeting of minds.  3) You can locate other such collections of work by calling the Theological Union in Berkeley, CA.  They have some top experts in this very area

In a nutshell.

The roots are in Einstein's relatively, built upon later by Friedman. Hubble determined that the Universe is expanding and Lemaitre put it all together in the Big Bang Theory.
