  1. honestly..

i dont see the big problem with underpowerin ur subs but no more than 100 watts(example- my sub is 600 watts and im hookin it up to a 500 watts) it sounds great and pounds hard havent had any problems..

    i have a kicker L5

  2. It may cause a big problem with the amp.  Because subs require a certain amount of power.  They will keep begging for power until the amp cant take it and gives up "for good" if you try to turn you system all the way up and notice it may go in protect mode that means you need more power to your subs in order for them to operate correctly.

  3. You will need 1000 watts RMS to run those subs. Underpowering subs is the worst think you can to do to them, have you ever heard of clipping? If you haven't, clipping occurs when you are using an amp that cannot power a subwoofer and it sends it a wacky signal that, in turn, causes mechanical failure. Run a Kicker ZX1000.1 to each.
