Budaj is their man now and I guess they're taking a chance on Raycroft. A cheap chance, but a chance nonetheless.

Budaj has been ready. Budaj had to come in and mop up Theodores messes. Raycroft is a good backup. They need to put some confidence in Budaj. How is he going to get better if they keep demoting him all the time. He's been a more than competent starter.

I was expecting them to sign Huet but he signed with the hawks ( i think). I dont know what they will do.

Budaj and Rycroft will split starts just like Tho and Budaj ... until one of them proves themself to be a starting goalie good pick up by the Avs though Tho just made everyone too nervous you never knew if he was going to be a wall or a puck usher into the net. Lets just hope the avs can move forward from here and bring the cup back for Joe's last season ... I said it .. Hes coming back. Avs look solid this year but will def miss Andrew Brunette ...

They signed ex-Leaf Andrew Raycroft. He can be OK and then he can be horrible, often in the same game.

Raycroft will be the starter. Past calder trophy winner, he can play when he wants to, so i think he wants to re-prove himself... good sign by the avs

From what people are saying it looks like Budaj is the Aves only choice. I've never seen Raycroft play so I can't really say how good he is. If I were choosing I would totally put Tyler Weiman in, I'm convinced he's the next Patrick Roy :)

I used to watch him all the time when he was on the Eagles and he was amazing! I know the NHL is probably a whole different game as far as intensity goes but I think Weiman could totally be our starting goalie if we let him.
