  1. Yes, my opinion is they will stick with it. As for the Muslims, they will have to accept the law of the land. There are many laws I don't like, but I will accept them. I now live in another country to my birth. The laws are different here, but I chose to come here and I will abide by the law.

  2. I think the French will stick with it and that Muslims will regard this as oppression.

I also think the rest of Europe should take France's example and follow suit. I'm all for equality but, I think Burkas are disrespectful and dangerous.

If a man walked into a store wearing a ski mask that was obstructing his face, what would be your first thought? More than likely you would think he is up to no good, he'll probably rob the place. Same goes for Burkas (covers not only the entire body but the face, leaving only a mesh screen to see through) and Niqabs (covering the body entirely - wearing gloves and a veil over the face, leaving just the area around the eyes open).

Hijabs (a scarf that covers the hair and neck) are fine by me. But, the other two are a security risk and by human nature we are programmed to be nervous when facial features are obstructed.

The first thing a newborn baby recognizes are facial features. Our minds are programmed to make out facial patterns when we view unrecognizable patterns (matrixing). To hide your face would make a normal human instinctively suspicious and understandably so. It is simply instilled in us.

Also I find it on the whole just disrespectful. When Jehovah Witnesses show up at your door at 8 am with pamphlets urging you to join their church, it is disrespectful. Everyone has a choice to believe whatever they would like to, especially when it comes to religion. There is no need to push your views on anybody else.

I believe religion is a personal choice and should be practiced in the privacy of your own home, not out on the street. Some people like to wear a subtle cross necklace to show their faith and again that is okay (comparable to a Hijab). But, people don't get dressed up in robes, sandals, and a crown of thorns to walk down the sidewalk (comparable to a Burka or Niqab).
