What will I be asked during a job interview?

I have my first job interview coming up tomorrow, I'm a little nervous because I've never been to one before- but it's only for McDonald's lol

I printed out a resume, although it doesn't have much on except volunteer work, I thought it would be a good idea, even though it is the fast food industry.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of questions i can anticipate and if you have any pointers for me. Also, how should I answer those questions?

Treat the interview as a conversation between two people getting to know each other. Prepare answers to questions which are related to the criteria of the job. For example, given it is a job in hospitality, they will probably ask questions related to customer service skills, honesty, time-management, flexibility and initiative. Questions could be:

(1) How would you deal with an unhappy customer?

(2) How would you rate your customer service skills?

(3) How do you handle a fast-paced environment?

(4) What do you think is important when working with food?

(5) Have you ever been late for an appointment or for work?

(6) Sometimes we need you to work extra hours at the last minute - how flexible are you with this? or are you prepared to do extra hours when required?

(7) Tell me about yourself.

The most important aspect of the interview is to prepare sufficiently so you come across confident. Be yourself, engage the interviewer by answering questions fluently and using eye contact. They are probably looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, honest and able to build good relationships with customers.

Just prepare some answers before hand, practice and you will do well. It showed good initiative to prepare a resume beforehand.

Showing your volunteer work is a great idea-shows initiative on your part. More important, volunteer work shows you are willing to work for nothing , which is what McDonald's will pay (LOL).
