Hi,

Just bought a citroen zsara picasso but would like to change the fitted cd player. I have looked around on lots of other sites and am looking for a straight forward answer, lol.

If I change the cd player, what will I lose exactly? Some people have said just the use of steering wheel buttons, some have said input on dash concerning cd player,....just very worried before I actually do anything.

Cheers!

Sarah

  1. I've just changed my wife's picasso stereo from factory stock to a new Clarion. Went without a hitch. You will need to get a facia kit, obviously, then all you do is swap them over. As mentioned, you need the steering stalk adapter if you want to keep the extra controls. Makes a difference with them. Get the kit from e-bay for a bargain price (20 quid plus postage).

Other thing you do lose is the right hand side of the digital display conserning any CD info or Radio info. Everything else works fine though, ie trip computer, distance to empty etc. so you can live without this.

Have fun.....it's so easy and looks great after its all done. Even better if you get the use of the steering wheel controls.........a must!

  2. Well, if your steering wheel has controls, yes you'll lose them. Unless you get a steering wheel control package with the player, but that costs more. Halfords tend to fit them for you if you buy from them. And why are you fitting it yourself if you haven't a clue what will happen? I would just leave it.
