What will Isopropyl Alcohol do to the inside of your mouth? but not swallowed.

what happen to the inside of your mouth if you had isopropyl rubbing alcohol in it, but not swallowed. my sister hav a mouth ulcer that is open and some one told her to put hydrogen peroxide on the lining of her mouth but she grabbed the wrong one and put isopropyl alcohol inside of her mouth instead, but i think she havent swallowed any of it. i wash her mouth entirely, but would it hurt her because of her sore in her mouth?

burn like heck and make her sick tell her to mix 1 part proxide with 1 part water and wash her mouth out with it. i do it when i get a tooth ach and it helps

She would immediately notice the dryness. If she flushes with water she should be ok. If the dryness doesn't go away, then you should call your doctor. After flushing and spitting with water, also re-rinse with peroxide, or better yet, use a q-tip to swab it. There is an over the counter tube of gel called "Kanka". Works very well for this. You can take it with you and put it on several times a day, clearing up the ulcer faster.
