It has been thrown around in the media that he would like to have the #14. And its not being used this year. AJ Foyt was his childhood idol and that was AJ's number.

As he has gotten 50% of Haas CNC its likely that it could be either of their 2 current numbers, #66 or #70. But reports have come about since that the #14 is available & his hero AJ Foyt used that number, he may use that.

No one knows for sure as yet. There may be some sort of announcement this coming week.

Tony Stewart has finalized his car number and sponsors for next season, his first as co-owner of Stewart HAAS racing. Stewart will drive the #14 car the number once campaigned by his racing hero, A.J. Foyt. Old Spice and Office Depot will sponsor the Chevys. Old Spice is a long-time Stewart sponsor in Nationwide Series. Office Depot will be moving to Stewart from Carl Edwards' Roush Fenway car. An official announcement will be made Friday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.(Cup Scene Daily) (7-22-2008)

It would be nice to see the 20 go with him but car owners don't like to do that...

I think he is trying to get the 14 just as others have said. There are cars already associated with his team to so he may just end up with one of those. As for the 3. Wanna see riots! I am not even sure that fans could accept it ever beign back out there.
