Question:

What will YOU do to take the UK out of the EU?

I do NOT recognise the authority of the EU and I do NOT consider myself to be 'European'. My personal protest is to refuse to purchase anything produced in any EU member state outside the UK and to ignore and boycott anything and everything connected with the EU. I am a UKIP member and will vote only for UKIP candidates - or not vote at all. What will YOU do to recover our democracy and independence?

  1. Remember, UK is a small Island with not a very friendly neighbour in Ireland. Moreover, Britain has lost it's dominance since the rise of the Soviet Union. You say that the Soviet Union broke up because people realised what a shamble it was.

Actually not. If being the country with the largest land area, a country with the first victories in the space race, a country with the world largest nuclear stockpile and the most powerful submarines shambles, I guess UK is worse than shambles. The Soviet Union broke up because the Russians did not want to continue subsidising the less economically developed republics. UK in EU is something like that. They are not asking UK to leave because they are polite. They actually gain a lot more if they did.

You must remember that today you don't have a country like to India to feed the British public. Napoleon was a pain in the neck for the British. Hitler bombed London to ruins during WWII. The Soviet Union got to keep Central Asia while the British had to exit from South Asia. If these are the reasons you hate Mainland Europe, you are only being impractical.

Let's face it. Britain had it's days of glory. Those days are gone now. The best cars are made in Germany and Italy. The best trains are made in France and Germany. The most popular mobile, Nokia is from Scandinavia. The Russian Spacecraft Soyuz is still the most reliable and currently the only way to the ISS.

It's like you sitting in a branch of a tree and trying to axe off that very branch.

    Love Thy Neighbour!

  2. Get rid of little englander prats like you What the h**l does the british parliament do for the british working people except to invoke higher taxes to keep thebetter off better off and involve us in illegal bloody wars where the "council estate scum"send their children to die to keep middle class prats in university studying bloody media studies and becoming our next generation of politicians who know all about real life but never send their children to war or do a real days work

  3. I disagree with your views on the EU, but in terms of economics, you will be shooting yourself in the foot with the protectionist policies.

It will lead other EU countries to bring the same barriers up against UK industry.  That will destroy the UK economy and services, which the UK is largely dependent would be ostrocised by EU countries.

The strength of the UK lies in the fact it can balance a relationship between US and EU.  You may trade with countries such as China and India, but since they are low cost markets UK services and products will be too expensive, the UK needs access to the richest markets in the world and they are in the EU.

  4. anything it takes, and the sooner the better.

  5. Vote.

We live in a democracy.  The BNP and UKIP would take us out of Europe.  If you do not want to vote for either of those parties, there are loads of people in the Labour and Conservative parties who want to want to leave the EU as well.  Work with them to change the line of the parties.

Not voting is stupid, and is only an option if you do not care for your country.  If you care about it, vote, and vote for the party you think will be best for the UK.  Who ever that might be,

  6. if our emperor puts us into the EU with out our consent and makes us a state of the EU i would advocate total disobedience. i am of this island i am not a European no matter what dribble FIREFOXY spouts

I am Scot and then apart of the UK we will never give up our rights and sovereignty so long as we don't decide to do it our self.

i Will not serve the F****ing EU i will not obey a German from Brussels or anywhere else. id rather see the UK forever gone than give it up to a socialist dictating government in a foreign land.   i say down with the EUseless may it die soon

  7. Quite frankly the EU would be glad to see the back of the UK. They never stop complaining. The British don't consider themselves as Europeans. They a nation of complainer: This have to be the centre of everything. I think they still living in some sort of colonial past, that they don’t need to be part of Europe

They not the economic power of Europe

They not the “British” very linguistic people

They can’t blame the EU that Gordon Brown won’t have a referendum about Europe

The benefit of the EU for me personally is:

I can travel and work in any EU state with out the formally of visa etc

The Euro currency I have no problem with. Money is money.

Any change put forward by the EU here in Ireland, we’ have a referendum just like other EU members.

P.S Your previous question on this

Would it help me to learn French by watching French TV?

The problem with learning a language through CD courses etc. is their limited colloquial content. So what is the best channel to watch - via. a pc - to hear French as it is spoken by ordinary native people? And how do I get it?

  8. I eschew your petty parochialism

I have done some of my genealogy.... several generations born and bred in London, with some Welsh, Scots and Cornish.

If I go back further- in common with most English people -  I would turn up some Germanic, Norse and danish

I am a European. I speak Dutch and German, have lived in The Netherlands (and was made very welcome there)

I love the way I can go through several countries in Europe without having to change currency..and cross borders with no need to show a passport.

Why would I want to preserve the queens portrait on my money... What has she done for me lately?

What value is Independence  -  other than to appease petty bigots and insular, narrow-minded fools?

  9. What do I do? I ignore little Englander twerps like you.

Boycott everything to do with the EU? HAHA ... good luck sunshine.

EDIT TO ADD - if the EU is such h**l why have YOU posted questions in the past about living in France and learning French?!

  10. Aside from a few french or german cars and leaving aside foods there is actually very few goods produced in europe. Over 90% of goods in the UK are made in the Far east  - many are packaged or labelled in europe but their main components are all made in the far east.

So i think your protest will have little or no effect.

I think abandoning the British Commonwealth in favour of europe was a huge mistake. We should all do more to get involved with and support the Commonwealth.

  11. the EU is not that bad for goodnes sake......you obviously read the tabloids and believe everything they say.....Britain should do what all the other governments in the EU do .....take notice of what they like and ignore what they don,t.And as or taxation passing to Brussels.all the better...you,ll probably pay less tax...it,s London who taxes you not Brussels.....

  12. UK cannot survive on its own.Industry is in shambles, economic performance poor.UK share in world trade is coming down.High wage rates have made UK goods costly and no more wanted by international buyers.British brands are no more in demand.Pound Sterling is no more an international currency. If UK want to come out of EU,it has to modernise industry,it has to recapture the market lost to China,Japan and India. It has to  reduce the wage rates. These are possible only with regional co operation. In the long run,EU will benefit UK.If UK want to survive it has to reconstruct its industry and economy.Other option available is merging with USA as another state.

The choice is hard. You have to accept that The Great Britain is no longer"Great".It has to make efforts to restore the lost glory.it is the real challenge for you.Sorry ,if it hurts your feelings, but that is the truth.

  13. I think the EU secures employment for many people in this country.

I don;t like all that comes with the EU, but think on balance its a good thing.

You may disagree, but lets see how well UKIP does at the likely election coming up and see what the rest of the UK think and whether many other people agree with you.  Immigration and the EU was a HUGE issue at the last electoin and UKIP's results were laughable.

  14. I will not vote for any euro candidate except UKIP.

  15. I am in support for the EU, either join or fall by the road side. You sound like a Californian before they joined the United States, and yes California has never looked back and is a thriving economy. Imagine if it hadn't joined? It would probably be more like a central American country now!

  16. I won't be voting UKIP, matey!

  17. Nothing we can do until 'no confidence in the above' is included on ballott papers.

  18. That is what socialism gets you.  Good luck!  I sincerely wish all you poor UK folks the best for the future.

America, take good notes.  You are next with the American Union.

The only ones that win are the freakin' banks.

  19. I would love to get Britain back for us. trouble is the Labour Party have sold out and cannot turn the clock back. So many Labour people have been on the European gravy train it will be hard to stop. Brown should have the guts to hold a referendum and then abide by what we the people want. Then use our money to make Britain proud again.

Feis Ort shows the arrogance of the Europeans that is why we should get out.

  20. A petition to the government, nor do many people consider themselves European i believe, but i fear the die is cast, Brown has not gone to the country for the EU Referendum and if he doesn't that will mean we will be part of The United States of Europe and our laws, which we have already seen being dominated by Brussels going west, and our tax system going the same way.

  21. If we get a UKIP candidate I would definitely vote for them

  22. What car do you drive and have you ever been on a train? I can't think of a British owned car manufacturer and pretty much all of the trains are built abroad. So you go by bike........the rubber trees don't grow in Devon big boy! Ah sod it....open a bottle of wine. Whoops! there we go again..Now, take off all of your clothes as i can pretty much guarantee that none of them were manufactured in the UK.

When you have dinner tonight you cannot have a curry as all of the spices will have been imported, you'll have nothing to cook it in anyway as the pans in your kitchen will have been manufactured abroad. in fact, most of your kitchen won't be there because i bet the wood and granite tops, if you have them. will have been imported. you won't be able to turn the tele on or listen to the radio either because these are also made away from our shores.

So, starving, tired and hungry...get yourself off to bed although the bed won't be there and neither will the duvet or sheets because guess what...yep, all manufactured abroad.

I think you get the picture....if you carry out your promise then 1. it will be incredibly difficult.

    2. it will be massively expensive.

    3. you will become more bitter

    4. your life will be less rich as everything in your sphere will be the same.

    5. you'll either starve or suffer from mild malnutrition because of your limited diet.

So i think, in essence, you may need to re-think your one man protest. As we are an island we have limited resourses and as such, since the invention of the boat, we have always traded with our neighbours on the mainland so you would be reverting to an existence which existed many thousands of years ago.

    Time to re-think me thinks!
