What will a faster processor do?

my brother built my computer. im getting a way faster processor for it. what will this do? will this make programs run faster or what cause i dont really know lol. thanks

The processor, CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the 'brains' of your computer and as it's name implies, does most of the processing of data. So a faster CPU generally results in faster program execution.

If you get a faster computer processor then your computer will process data more quickly. Make sure that your new CPU is ok to use with your motherboard. Also, if you have less than 2 GB of ram you may want to consider upgrading that too.
