  1. I think they can charge you a cleaning fee and also I think it's illegal and you can get fined.

  2. You people do not realize what residual smoke does to others. especially those that have allergies and asthma.. My son suffers from this and if we go to a room which someone prior has smoked in, he starts getting attacks.. He cannot breath well, and needs his inhaler.. What if I was told by the hotel that its an all smoke free hotel and by mistake someone smoked in the room prior and the maid didn't notice and I and my son thought we were safe and didn't have the inhaler by chance.. What if he went into asthma attack cause of the smoke?... You don't really realize the consequences do you?....

  3. haha they would ask u to stop and if u doint the management would probably kick u out

  4. Basically you need a lower to answer this..

What happens if you violate a hotel policy..?

I´m sure that hotel management has done everything to protect themselves and when you sign the registration card, you accept to respect the policies and when you don´t they can use their legal sanctions against you...

And this all because this world is full of schizophrenic non-smokers, it´s unbelievable..

  5. There will be a charge to your credit card for cleaning the room.  The charge rates I have noted posted in hotels I have stayed in range from $150 to $300.  Most likely there will be a sign in the hotel room telling you what the charge will be.

  6. If they have a fire detector you could get charged, if not (which i doubt) they'll either kick you out or ask you to stop (depends on the hotel)

  7. I have heard that certain hotels charge a 250.00 cleaning fee.

  8. They can charge you a cleaning fee for the cost of removing the smoke smell from the room. This can be a pretty large charge considering that the smoke smell will have to be professionally removed from the carpets, bedding, curtains, pillows and all other soft surfaces.
