  1. I get it that the stuff in the grocery store that is unhealthy and very tempting. But, you should try to ignore what is around you and go to the stuff you need. If you eat white bread try wheat...its hearty and delicious. Try to eats loads of veggies... if you don't like plain veggies add something kind of unhealthy to spice it up...say....pb and celery. Hopefully you find my ideas intersting and useful.

  3. you should always have lots of fruits and vegetables and the best fruits and vegetables are the ones that are dark colored because that means they have a lot of nutrients and antioxidants. also a study shows that dark colored fruits and veggies fight cancer!! also green leafy vegetables are great for you!

    - Canned tuna, plain and flavoured

    - Fake ground beef (VERY lower calorie)

    - Bag of baby spinach for soups and salads

    - Various veg - usually zucchini, onions, carrots, broccoli, peppers, mushrooms - for pasta, stir fry, salads, soups

    - Avocado to use rather than mayo or butter

    - Yogurt - smoothies, to make creamy sauces/curries, to eat

    - Salad dressing spray

    - Lemons/limes/vinegars - for sauces and dressings

    - Tea, coffee, and sugar-free hot chocolate (gotta have my chocolatey fix!)

  6. Best rule of thumb that I live by- buy only whole grains.  I don't buy any bleached flour, refined flour, pasta, crackers, bread, rice, etc....unless it is whole grain.  That will make a huge difference.  Then, buy lots of frozen veggies and fruit, because you want to have them on hand, conveniently cut up for you, and not going rotten.  Soy milk is a godsend for me, soooo good.  And beans are always cheap, good, and fill you up and healthy.  V-8 is good to tide you over.  And nuts.
