  1. Put two eggs in vinegar, and wait until the shells dissolve (a day or two). Then stick one in water, and one in corn syrup. The one in corn syrup with shrink, and the one in water with grow. This shows 1) that the cell has a semi-permeable membrane, and 2) the principle of osmosis.

  2. Build ramps out of different materials and use different types of wheels to illustrate coefficients of friction between the wheel type and the ramp type.

  3. Grow a plant in a bag with a moist paper towel.. place the moist papertowel in a sandwish bag and place a seed or two in it and then u can watch it grow

  4. Try lighting a match and dropping it into a plastic bottle, then put an egg on top of the bottle. The egg should be sucked right in without breaking.

Also, you can try squeezing an egg. It won't break as long as you squeeze around the sides.

  5. Grow sugar crystals.

  6. pickle an egg

  7. Here's one that is pretty simple and impressive regarding electricity and electrical generation.  Get two motors from your local radioshack or a motor and a lightbulb.  Wire them together.  When you spin one motor with your hand it will generate energy to either spin the other motor or light up the bulb.  This is simple, cheap and impressive.  You will need to match voltages etc. and the local rep at your radioshack can help you pick out hardware that will do this.  Do a report about the theory behind this and the transfer of energy and you will have something pretty cool to show off.
