  1. It will be equal to the remainder of 29 divided by 8 = 5.

  2. You can see how this works algebraically. Say the number is x, then:

    x = 56*k + 29 (for some integer k)

    Refactoring:

    x = 8*7k + 8*3 + 5 = 8(7k + 3) + 5

    So the remainder is 5.

  3. If you divide the number by 56 ,let the quotient be x

    in that case the no can be written as  (56x +29)

    now divide this no by 8

               (56x +29 ) /8

           = 7x  + 29/8

           = 7x  + 3 5/8

    so the remainder has to be 5.

    Other way to check it is by simply dividing 29,

    as 56 is the multiple of 8,the no divisible by 56 will also be divisible by 8, so just dividing the remainder by 8 will give us the answer.

  4. 203

  5. 56 is evenly divisable by 8, therefore, the number divided by 8 in multiples of 7 would have a remainder of 29, so 29/8 = 3 5/8
