  1. Sat Sri Akal.

Saw Palmetto (Serenoa Repens), a herb of Central American origin is the real answer. Researched, clinically tested and proven for efficacy. Available in India under "SEGALS" brand. Imported from Canada. They can provide u research reports on request. No side-effects. Search Google for 'Segals Supplement Chennai'.

In allopathy, you have Propecia (Finasteride), but the side-effects are enormous.

  2. I think its the ayurvedic treatment because i dosen't harm anyone........

  3. Consulting with a homeopath certified in classical homeopathy (http://www.homeopathicdirectory.com) is your best option, in my opinion, to resolve related symptoms as well as the disease process itself (i.e., enlarged prostate). This is not a self-help problem, and the remedy you need would be determined after a long homeopathic visit and the homeopath's subsequent research on your behalf.

There is always an emotional counterpart to physical symptoms, and a homeopath will sit with you for an hour or two to discuss your current health problems, past health history, life and family situation, stresses, family health history, your constitutional symptoms (foods you like, quality of sleep, weather preferences, etc.). All of these combined affect health.

One caution: Homeopathy is the philosophy and reason for giving a remedy, not the remedy itself. A lot of professional practitioners use homeopathic remedies, when the patient is not receiving homeopathy. Homeopathy is so readily available that remedies are combined with practices involving kinesiology (muscle testing), hair analysis, chelation therapy, radionics, acupuncture, etc. It is none of these things. Someone who combines the use of homeopathic remedies with other healing modalities reflects a first-aid and acute care knowledge equivalent to that which is available to the consumer.

For optimal (homeopathic) results, it's important to find someone whose practice is 100% classical homeopathy, without any adjunctive healing modalities. The link I provided above is for the Council for Homeopathic Certification, which is the only organization in North America that certifies homeopaths with this level of skill profession-wide. If you're in another country, look for someone with comparable qualifications.

Homeopathy can empower you to again enjoy good health, for life. It is usually not covered by insurance, yet well worth the financial investment - provided you do your homework finding a certified homeopath. ("CCH" are the credentials that follow a practitioner's name and signify the certification that matters.)

    Best wishes.

  4. why are you limiting yourself to 2 alternative modalities when there are maybe 50 or a hundred other non allopathic healing arts out there and many of them are reliable? also is this a self diagnosis? I don't rely completely on regular doctors for treatment but they are pretty good at diagnosing.  Then I look for an alternative remedy first, but I do not guess the problem, I get a professional diagnosis. This could be serious, so no self diagnosing please!

  5. A popular western herb is Saw Palmetto. While I cannot provide the same advice as a trained ayurvedic practitioner- following the ayurvedic diet appropriate for your constitution, exercise, and activities such as meditation and yoga provide benefits to the whole system. Specifically, the ayurvedic herb ashwagandha has a balancing effect for all constitutional types- provides calm, focus, strength, endurance and possibly could be beneficial as it seems to be a tonic to the endocrine system. One theory believes that aging men have a decreased level of active testosterone in the blood and higher estrogen leading to the increased growth of prostate cells.

  6. One of the things that helped my dad is Saw Palmeto. Not only it helped "shrink" the gland, but it eased his discomfort. Here I will attach a link for you. Hope that helps.

  8. Go see you doctor. I just had a friend die from prostrate cancer two days ago and he tried everything including all the so called natural remedies. He was diagnosed 11 years ago so maybe the natural medicines did help him by delaying the end but nothing was able to cure him and he was only 59 years old. Try everything but don't ignore your doctor's advice.
