What will be the most important issues in a few years?

I am only fifteen years old, and I have never found it too important to inform myself of important issues. However, I'm growing up and need to know these things now. Can someone please tell me what the most important issues will be in five to ten years and where I can learn more about them?

New renewable resources is a really big one.  That is the career I am going into
