  1. if both languages are spoken in the home, then the child will be bilingual, and should grow up able to communicate in both languages as a native.

this means the child will have two mother tongues.

if a third language is natively spoken in the community outside the home, it is even possible for a child to be trilingual and have three.

  2. it depnds on with whom the childs stays more ,n which language is used 2 talk wit the child all time.........

  3. If they both speak their mother tongue to the child, they'll be bilingual.

Kids soak up languages, and provided both parents always stick to their home language, this is the best age for a child to gain two languages.

  4. SMRM, the mother tongue of a child raised in a bilingual household will probably be that s/he hears most, usually from the main care-giver.

If father and mother speak in one another's languages, in the child's presence, all the time, the child is likely to be fully bilingual. If mom's home during the day, her language will dominate, so for better bilingualism , the couple should speak the father's language when he is home.

Of course, if they live where a third language is spoken, the child needs to be fully fluent in that language, too, or s/he will face social and educational difficulties.

  5. Hopefully both those parents will send their kid to school, which will teach him how to read, write AND spell.

  6. child will have his/her own tounge...hehehhee..just kidding..
