What will be the next step?

I am on Clomid 150mg this cycle and today is day 16 this is what my chart looks like ....(it's the second chart on the page.) http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2113f8 ... it's kinda screwy.

So if I don't get pregnant this month with the highest dose of Clomid that my doctor will give, what is likely to be the next step? I have PCOS is there any procedures that I should inquire about?

Hi,

Well it really depends... your blood test should show if you ovulated or not.

If you did ovulate but still didn't fall pregnant then I guess the Clomid was successful in doing it's job (helping you to ovulate).

He/She might simply recommend another corse of Clomid if you did infact ovulate.

You could also be sent for other testing, ie. to check for blocked fallopian tubes etc.

Or your partner may need to be tested (if he hasn't already).

I too have PCOS and was on about four cycles of Clomid with no success :(

Try to think positive, it may work this time and then you won't have to worry about all that!!

like you, my friend has PCOS and clomid didn't work for her.  the doctor decided to do IUI.  she is now on her 7th month of pregnancy!  good luck to you!
