What will be the outcome and consequence of the conflict in Georgia ?

Do you wonder if the UN will interviene ? Or perhaps they won't after ignoring the violence in Africa and South-East Asia. Give me some opnions on the subject. Peace And Love Baby.

I think NATO needs to take a serious look at the situation. If there's any truth to what Russia is saying concerning Georgian soldiers killing thousands of civilians (of which I am skeptical), then that makes the situation far more complicated. However, if the Russian allegations are not true, and Russia is invading Georgia because they don't want Georgia to join NATO, then I think NATO has an unwritten responsibility to come to Georgia's defense, since it can be perceived as an attack on NATO itself.

As for the UN, well, they will argue about it as usual, but this is a lot more simple then a territory violation, so I don't think its really time for diplomatic pressure.
