You need an Ion Exchange resin of the Mixed variety (+1 and +2 cations).  This resin can be regenerated using a strong saline solution.  Stay away from those require acidic stripping solutions.

water softeners in houses use this type so if you want you can get either the  resin or the rock salt at your local home store.
