  1. Correctly fitted shoes are probably your most important step.  Arch support, the proper width and a heel that's less than 2 inches are important factors if you're going to be on your feet on a hard floor all day long.  Also, wearing support stockings can help.


  2. Temporarily, soak them 20 minutes in comfortably hot water with ONE cup  vinegar added. Gentle foot massage can also help ease pain, but there may be 'tender' spots: pay close attention to those.

    Do look at your shoes: turn them over. Worn areas indicate you're not walking correctly. Toss away those shoes and wear new ones that are comfortable. It will take some getting used to proper soles again. Just do it!

    If you're not better in 7-10 days, see a Podiatrist (foot doctor).
