  1. If he has had bail set, it means he has been in front of a Judge and has had formal charges placed against him. The Judge has set an amount for bail ( which is a financial guarantee he will return to court for trial).

Your stating he couldnt get in touch with his Dad says that he counted on his father to post his bail ( or pay the bailbondsman) and for whatever reason, couldnt do so.

Unless he finds another person to post his bond, he will sit in jail until his pretrial hearing or even his trial.

Without further information, it is difficult to say why he is going back to court tomorrow (unless his court appointed attorney is trying to get his bond reduced to ROR (Release on Recognizance), meaning no money involved. And no, since this is still VERY fresh, he is not going to pretrail or diversion. It is far too soon for that.

By reading your question, I am gathering that you are the plaintiff in this case? If so, contact the DA's office. You have every right to know the current status of this and they will tell you.

Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

  2. He will see a judge im sure
