Its a SCAM to find out your personal information, if you cash that check and it bounces in the future you are going to be in a WORLD of hurt paying it back.

First, the bank will immediately suspect that it is either a forgery or a fraud intended to bilk you out of thousands. They would call the bank on which the funds are drawn from and verify if the check is legit or not. Then either deposit the funds or call the police and have you arrested.
