What will happen if I try to power my device that requires 9Vac (1300mA) with my 9V DC power supply?

  1. It may be damaged or it might work.

    Most devices/gadgets needs a DC voltage to run. And if that device will just convert the AC to DC internally, your device be powered by a DC. It is important that you will understand what type of device you are dealing with.

    But there are devices that they require the AC too to activate some of their circuits to keep them running like clocks and oscillators. In such cases, the DC voltage won't work.
