What will happen if I use a positive tip adator with a negative terminal keyboard?

I have a keyboard that I paid a little over 1000 dollars for that I haven't used in a very long time, and the adaptor was lost when I moved. If I use a 9v positive adaptor with the negative terminal in it, what will happen to it?
