What will happen if I wear 1-day contacts for more than 1 day?

Question

I use Acuvue Moist 1-day lenses. Stupidly I didn't re-order more contacts as soon as I should have, and so I don't have enough lenses to last till my order comes in (supposedly on Thursday; I'm writing this on Tuesday night).

Anyway, I wore my 1-day lenses 2 to 3 days at a time (even while sleeping) and did this a couple times this past week.

I *know* you shouldn't do this and I won't let it happen again. I've been searching the internet and all this talk about eye problems is scaring the h**l out of me.

Will I probably be ok?

(Yes, I do have glasses, but can't wear them out of the house; they distort my vision too much since I've worn contacts for so many years.)

It is not ok to wear for one more day as it is a dailies lenses. it is at the user risk to wear it and if they gets eye infection then it is nobody business.

nothing will probably happen.

but they might get irritated and cause an eye infection.

but if nothing happens, then yeah.

but don't get used to it!

As long as it isn't irritating your eyes, you are ok.

Not a good habit to get in to...but you will be fine for a rare occaission.



Take them out for the night though...don't push it....lol
