  1. You are in for a few seconds of terror followed by a week or two of pain. This is one reason why motorcycle tires are constructed differently from car tires and cost twice as much. Also any rider must change tires when the wear bars first show up or the tread depth is about as deep as the rim on a penny (1mm). Monitor air pressure closely.

  2. that is the worst blowout to get.  Chances are, you will wreck the bike.

  3. depends:

if it blows but doesn't lock up, it will steer very stiff and fight you, but you should be able to pull over

if it blows and catches the fender/forks or binds up, it's probably going to wash out and you will meet the pavement up close and personal...

  4. It depends, if they can get over in time it should be ok. It likely wouldn't blow out but deflate allowing them to keep upright. A blowout would cause a wreck.

  5. A blow out is hard to recover from without a crash. If the air just comes out you have to fight the handlebars to stay straight until you stop. You won't be able to swerve off the road or lean or turn. All you can do is come off the throttle and stay straight.

Check your tires before every ride.

  6. you go **** over t*t and get gravel rash!. much better to blow out rear tyre you have a chance of staying on.

  7. death

  8. tire will go flat, steering will wobble hard, you should cover the brakes and release the throttle and allow bike to slow down at its pace, which will be fast, as speed gets real slow try to steer it off road. This assuming tire doesnt come off. This is why your front tire should always be in best condition. Dont use brakes as it will load front end. Dont lean/steer as it will caus eyou to wreck. Get the speed down by no throttle and hold the bars only as tightly as you need. It will wobble and trying to completely overcome might just throw you off or cause tire to try to slip off.

  9. the sidewalls on bike tires is very thick and stiff, you should have no problem getting off the highway.

its happend to me a couple of times now
