  1. It could either way. My Daughter and Father in law are both allergic to cats and we had to get rid of one because my Daughter kept getting worse and worse, but overtime her symptoms have gotten less and less. Now we have a cat and she does fine with him. No problems, but with other cats and expecially outdoor ones she will break out in hives real bad and scratch herself til she bleeds.

    So it is a risk.

  2. Allergies can always get worse and develop into serious problems where you could have anaphylaxis. But if you're just sneezing, you can just take a zyrtec once a day and it should help. My dad is allergic to cat dander and he just doesn't let the cats sit on this 1 chair so he can sit there without sneezing. My dad and step mom have 3 cats. I'm glad we only have 1 in our house.

  3. Your allergies will most likely continue if you keep the cat. They may even get worse. I doubt your symptoms will ever improve as long as you're exposed to the dander on a daily basis. If you want to keep the cat, you may want to go on allergy shots for cat. For that you need to see an allergist; meantime you may try otc meds like cetirizine, loratadine, and fluoxofenadine.

  4. you will miss the cat but you will feel better.

  5. many things 'could happen" some times the symptoms could get worse. they can become more severe. this is known as acute symptoms. There have been cases were the symptoms start to get better, even becoming non symptomatic. This is were your body actually become immune the to "dander" that cats put off. So to answer your question in an honest way . It could go either way. you could become  more allergic to the cat or the allergy could actually heal its self. good luck
