  1. the newer contact lens materials are more "breathable" than older lenses, because there are larger pores within the matrix. these larger pores not only allow more oxygen through the lens, but also attract more proteins/dust/microbs/debris etc... these lenses are intended to be removed and disinfected daily due to the increase in this build-up. any abuse of contact lens wear or care invites infection, including potentially blinding ulcers caused by Acanthamoeba, especially if the contacts are worn while swimming/showering or any other contact with water which may contain that parasite.

  2. my doctor told me bacteria would build up on the contact maybe resulting in an infection or ichyness. but i sleep in mine all the time it dont bother me. which my doctor said it was okay but to take them out every weekend and wash them off and give your eyes a rest.

  3. Ummm

You Will totally ruin your vision forever

  4. its good to give your eyes a break from contacts - your eyes need to 'breathe' without them in, I've heard that if you wear contacts constantly it can actually alter the shape of your eye - leading to far worse problems than poor vision! it's ok to wear them to bed every now and again, but it's just general good health to clean them daily and give your eyes a rest

  5. First of all where do  you buy your contacts ? the contact lanes practitioner  have  to tell you  all about contact lenses .how to taking care of them .

The contacts lens is siting on your cornea and the only way that your cornea is keeping it self alive and healthy and breathing is the air (the oxygen) .Buy wearing you contact lens 24 hr a day you are reducing  the amount of oxygen that your  cornea needs and now your cornea lacking oxygen and trying to feed it self from outside and the is  how neuvasularization happens.

  6. Your eyes swell shut, and it hurts and you can't open them enough to get the contacts out. So you have to go to the ER and be given eyedroipsand hte ER doc takes the contacts out and charges you $$$$$

Get extended wear ... you can sleep in them with no problem

  7. because u should take them out and clean them or they can give your eyes an infection. but i wear mine to sleep and im not supposed to too but the worst thing that happens is they get really dry. but ive had 2 eye infectons from not cleaning my contacts enough. so the most i suggest u wear therm is a week

  8. It makes your eyes tired and makes them more susceptible to getting infected, damaged, etc.  Bacteria and other stuff can get trapped back there.  You need to clean your contacts regularly and you also need to give your eyes periods of rest.  Leaving the contacts in don't let your eyes rest or breathe properly.

You may be able to "get away with it" for awhile if you are young and have eyes that are more tolerant than others, but you're going to slowly (or quickly depending on your luck and situation) damage your eyes.
