  1. if the metal is smooth and all corners are rounded -- nothing.

If the metal has sharp edges or folds (like a chewing gum wrapper or a fork) the microwaves will cause sparks.

In all cases, the microwaves need somewhere to go. Microwaves are not "absorbed' by metal.  So you need something wet (water, a piece of meat, etc) in the microwave before you turn it on.  Otherwise, you can damage the microwave geneator tube.

  2. it will start expanding making sparks then explode.

  3. i put alluminum foil inside and it was like the fourth of July(Fireworks)!

  4. Since microwave use radio wave, fire could results.

  5. its particles will move very fast causing it to expand but due to this unnecesry speed it may start giving out sparks and can even explode

  6. The metal will be heated up by the microwave radiation.

A very thin coating of aluminum is often use to provide heating to a particular portion of a microwaveable food item - browning a pot pie for example.

However, if there is too much metal in the oven, it will disproportionately absorb the microwave energy and blow out the magnetron. There is also the risk of arcing from the metal to the interior of the oven. The occurrence of such events is often signaled by the emission of smoke and the loss of function.

  7. I accidently put aluminum foil in mine and witnessed more fireworks than the 4th of July!

  8. it can explode!

  9. It depends from the metal because every metal has a specific temperature in which it starts to become liquid

  10. Metal will spark and will short out the microwave.  There are usually black marks left over and small melted indentations were the "lightening  bolts" have struck.  Could cause a fire and is very dangerous.
